Competences
The Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic manages the activities of the government, arranges and leads its meetings.
The Prime Minister shall be appointed and recalled by the President of the Slovak Republic. On a proposal of the Prime Minister of the Government, the President shall appoint and recall other members of the Government and empower them with the administration of Ministries.
The Prime Minister shall sign government regulations.
If the President is not elected, or if the President is unable to discharge his office for serious reasons, the power of the President shall pass to the Government of the Slovak Republic. In these cases the Government may vest some of the powers of the President in the Prime Minister. During such time the Prime Minister shall act as Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces.
