Statement on rejecting the Committee on rights for non-heterosexuals

Although the proposal to set up a special committee to support the rights of non-heterosexual citizens was rejected by the Slovak Government on May 11, Deputy Premier for Human Rights and National Minorities shall continue to support and initiate activities which contribute to improving the situation of rights of non heterosexual citizens. Rudolf Chmel strives for enhancing the rights of the mentioned minority group, endeavors towards eliminating their discrimination and advocates application of international agreements in this field.
